Short and Sweet: An Interview with Summer.

Summer is a wonderful young writer who I've had the pleasure of connecting with on Wattpad. She is a dedicated reader of my stories, so I was all too happy to have this chance to showcase what she has been working on. Also, if you are looking for a Spanish writer, then you've come to the right place. In this interview, Summer talks about some personal reasons for writing, her interests, and how love is fantastic inspiration. Please enjoy this short and sweet interview, about some very heartwarming topics.

L: Tell us a little bit about yourself!

S: I am a 17 year old teen who loves cats, rainy days and black tea. I was born in a little cute American town but moved to Mexico when I was 4 years old and have lived there ever since.

L: Ah, I love cats and rainy days as well! For the first question, let's go back a bit. How long have you been writing for?

S: I have been writing for 5 years...started with really bad Creepypastas and when I was a huge fan of anime and manga.

L: What are you currently working on?

S: I just finished a short story: "Le conté a las flores sobre ti" or in English "I told the flowers about you".

L: That sounds lovely! What is this short story about?

S: It is about a person who is in love and talks about the little things they love about their partner.

L: Oh, now it sounds even more lovely! What genre(s) do you think this would fit into? Also, what is the recommended age group for your book?

S: Poetry and romance, anyone can read it really, It's just a cute little short story.

L: How perfect. May I ask what was the inspiration for the story?

S: My inspiration was my girlfriend. She really is the most sweetest and beautiful person in the world and i just wanted to tell her how much I love her through words. She reads everything that I write, and this story was my little secret because I wanted it to be a surprise for her. I edited some things so it wouldn't be so obvious that it was about her but still, she is always my inspiration.

L: That in itself is a really beautiful story. Who are the main characters and what is enticing about them?

S: The main characters have no name, no gender and no race. I tried to make the story something of which we can all identify with.

L: What do you believe is the most original aspect of your book? Having main characters with features for all is pretty original, but is there anything else that comes to mind?

S: I think that an original aspect is the title, I love that it is, in a weird way, poetic and just so simple.

L: What was your favorite part to write?

S: My favorite part to write is, without a doubt, writing how much I love her. It was like I wrote everything that I dare not to say because of the two, I am the least romantic and cheesy, but she makes my sweet side come out and that's why I don't complain, because I love her.

L: I'm sure writing this story was a truly wonderful experience, but but what was the hardest part to write?

S: The hardest part were the descriptions when writing and trying to come up with more chapters.

L: Any final thoughts?

S: After all, I wrote what I wrote because her. I think she still doesn't know why I wrote it, but that's fine. I would like to keep it as a little secret that only I know and at the same time, try to make people feel connected with what I have written. As long as they read it and feel happy, that is enough for me.

L: Thank you so much for sharing abut "Le conté a las flores sobre ti"! I highly suggest that everyone checks out her social media, which I have linked below. Thanks again, Summer, it was a pleasure!
